$300.00We have helped over a thousand people pass their heating and air conditioning licensing examination in the last 6 years. Normally less than 35% of the people pass the heating and air conditioning exams. We average a 75% pass rate on our classes. We have been giving HVAC Seminars since the late 1970’s. In 1986 we started giving seminars in Winston-Salem for people studying to take their NC H-1, H-2, and H-3 examinations and continue to grow by extending classes in Electrical, Fuel Piping and Refrigeration.
The 3000 hours of experience that you need to get your Special Plumbing & Heating Electrical (SP-PH) license can all be experience doing plumbing and heating work. The experience must meet the following criteria:
- Time was spent working for a LICENSED plumbing or heating contractor.
- Time spent working must include 2000 hours of primary experience and the balance (1000 hours) may be either primary or secondary.
– (a). Primary (Section .0202(a)) – Must be in a position that does not require supervision, such as but not limited to: - Mechanic, Estimator, Foreman, Electrical Inspector, Superintendent, Service Technician, Project Manager.
– (b). Secondary (Section .0202(b)) – is a position that requires supervision, such as but not limited to: - Apprentice or Helper
After receiving the Special Plumbing & Heating Electrical License (SP-PH), any further experience doing work under the electrical license can be applied towards the hours of experience required to get the residential, limited, intermediate and unlimited licenses.
To get the SP-PH Electrical License, an application must be filed with the State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors. You can obtain the application by the following methods:
